Formal Definition
Disposition - the plan for where a patient goes next (admit, discharge, transfer).
How It's Used on the Ward
"We need to dispo this patient" means figuring out their next destination.
Example
"Attending: "What's the dispo on the patient in bed 4?" You: "Planning for discharge home with follow-up in 48 hours.""
