Formal Definition
Patient has adequate blood pressure, heart rate, and perfusion - their cardiovascular system is maintaining organ perfusion.
How It's Used on the Ward
"HD stable" in notes. "Hemodynamics look fine" in conversation.

""Despite the GI bleed, the patient remains hemodynamically stable with a systolic of 118, heart rate of 88, and adequate urine output.""
Clinical Context
This phrase appears in almost every note and presentation. It's a quick way to communicate that the patient isn't in shock.
