To quiz a medical student or junior trainee on medical knowledge, usually during rounds.
How It's Used on the Ward
"The attending pimped me on renal tubular acidosis" means they were quizzed.
Example
"M3: "Dr. Smith loves to pimp on electrolyte disorders. Review your potassium physiology before rounds.""
